Back in 1999, Fenton & Associates began with Paul Fenton, Lisa Kovacs, Monica Dignan & Nadine Keefe. Thanks to ongoing referrals from our clients, our business has grown considerably since then, and so we have progressively expanded from our founding four, who are still with us today, to a dedicated, knowledgeable team of ten.
Paul commenced his career in financial planning in 1987, and with Lisa Kovacs established Fenton & Associates in 1999. Paul's qualifications include Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and the Diploma of Financial Planning.
Before joining Fenton & Associates, Monica spent 16 years at Centrelink, with the latter half involved in policy administration & program delivery both at an area level and nationally. Monica has been with F&A since day one, holds the Diploma of Financial Planning, is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), and graduated with a Bachelor of Business degree, majoring in Financial Planning, in 2013.
Jo joined F&A in 2008, after working in the financial planning and banking sector since 1999. Jo’s qualifications include Certificate IV in Financial Services, the Advanced Diploma of Financial Planning and a Bachelor of Business degree, majoring in Business Management & Human Resource Management. In 2014 Jo also became a Certified Financial Planner (CFP).
In 2010 we expanded our adviser capacity by welcoming Stuart to our team. Stuart holds the Diploma of Financial Planning, a Bachelor of Commerce degree, he is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and brought to Fenton & Associates 7 years experience working with an independently owned financial planning firm and 2 years experience as an adviser with one of the big four banks.
When Paul and Lisa commenced Fenton & Associates, Lisa was able to advise clients as well as manage the business. However as the business grew, and after attaining our own licence in 2004, it became necessary for Lisa to fully focus on management of the business. Lisa is responsible for licencing matters, compliance, adviser auditing, practice management and financial management.
Having worked with another financial planning firm for several years, Aileen joined F&A in 2008. Aileen was our Office Manager and Senior Administrator until mid 2014 when she transitioned to the advisory side of the business, and now assists advisers with the preparation of advice documents, undertakes research for client reviews and liaises with administrators regarding the implementation of strategies.
Nadine has been with Fenton & Associates since day one, having previously been employed by Lisa at another financial planning practice. Nadine has over 18 years experience across all aspects of administration, from basic data management through to complex portfolio & product transactions. Nadine holds a Certificate in Superannuation Administration.
After gaining 3 years experience working in an administrative capacity at Pillar Superannuation, Lynne joined F&A in 2010. Lynne takes care of complex administration & implementation matters, and also assists with client data management and record keeping.
Julie joined the F&A admin team in October 2012, bringing with her experience gained in a range of administration roles. Julie assists us with various administration tasks and transactions, and is responsible for the preparation & management of client reviews.
