Meet Our Team
Back in 1999, Fenton & Associates began with Paul Fenton, Lisa Kovacs, Monica Dignan & Nadine Keefe. Thanks to ongoing referrals from our clients, our business has grown considerably since then, and so we have progressively expanded from our founding four, who are still with us today, to a dedicated, knowledgeable team of ten.
Our Principals
Paul Fenton
Paul commenced his career in financial planning in 1987, and with Lisa Kovacs established Fenton & Associates in 1999. Paul's qualifications include the Diploma of Financial Planning and he was a Certified Financial Planner (CFP). Paul retired from advising in February 2018, he now focuses on Directorship and Investment Committee matters.
Lisa Kovacs
Lisa also commenced her career in financial planning in 1987. Lisa's qualifications include the Diploma of Financial Planning and she was also a Certified Financial Planner (CFP). Lisa retired from advising in July 2017, she now focuses on management of the business, licencing matters, compliance and financial management
Our Advisers
Monica Dignan
Before joining Fenton & Associates, Monica spent 16 years at Centrelink, with the latter half involved in policy administration & program delivery both at an area level and nationally. Monica has been with F&A since day one, holds the Diploma of Financial Planning, is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), and graduated with a Bachelor of Business degree, majoring in Financial Planning, in 2013.
Joanne Spiteri
Jo joined F&A in 2008, after working in the financial planning and banking sector since 1999. Jo’s qualifications include Certificate IV in Financial Services, the Advanced Diploma of Financial Planning and a Bachelor of Business degree, majoring in Business Management & Human Resource Management. In 2014 Jo also became a Certified Financial Planner (CFP).
Stuart Cruickshank
In 2010 we expanded our adviser capacity by welcoming Stuart to our team. Stuart holds the Diploma of Financial Planning, a Bachelor of Commerce degree, he is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and brought to Fenton & Associates 7 years experience working with an independently owned financial planning firm and 2 years experience as an adviser with one of the big four banks.
Our Support
Marilyn Munoz Vogt
Marilyn joined our F&A admin team in August 2016. In addition to taking care of reception, Marilyn assists us and our clients with various administrative tasks and transactions.
Nadine Keefe
Nadine has been with Fenton & Associates since day one, having previously been employed by Lisa at another financial planning practice. Nadine has over 18 years experience across all aspects of administration, from basic data management through to complex portfolio & product transactions. Nadine holds a Certificate in Superannuation Administration.
Lynne Goninan
After gaining 3 years experience working in an administrative capacity at Pillar Superannuation, Lynne joined F&A in 2010. Lynne takes care of complex administration & implementation matters, and also assists with client data management and record keeping.
Julie Conneely
Julie joined the F&A admin team in October 2012, bringing with her experience gained in a range of administration roles. Julie holds the Diploma of Financial Planning and assists us with various administration tasks and transactions, and is responsible for the preparation & management of client reviews.
At Fenton & Associates we foster an environment of collaboration and teamwork. We believe that this culture has facilitated a positive, stable workplace, and has made it possible for our clients’ to develop long term, rewarding relationships with our team.
Our advisers are required to undertake continuing education, as prescribed by our licence and the Financial Planning Association. We engage an external company for the provision of technical, legislative & economic study material, inclusive of a written examination, on a monthly basis. We also attend seminars and conferences that benefit our professional development.
By undertaking ongoing education we are at all times up to date with changes in legislation, taxation,Centrelink and investment markets.
